Sr High Humanities and Options
My name is Beverley (Cunningham), Welliver. I grew up on Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia. I went to Saint Francis Xavier University for three years and transferred to Cape Breton University where I received my Bachelor of Arts degree major in English and minor in History. I moved to Calgary for a few years before returning to university for my Education degree. I graduated with my B.ed in secondary education from Memorial University (Newfoundland) and taught for two years at a small rural high school in Sherbrooke, Nova Scotia.
My family moved to Alberta in 2007 and I taught at a few schools in southern Alberta before coming to Horizon MAP last year. I love teaching at the MAP school and Outreach education holds a special place in my heart. I have been teaching at MAP for the past 9 years. I currently teach high school English and Social and other options. I love the kids at MAP school and enjoy teaching here.
When I am not in school I enjoy doing outdoor activities with my husband, son, and my dog Lulu. We love to camp for most of the summer. We like to geocache, fish, hunt and explore the back roads and mountains.
